In common with many of Scotland's Highland estates, we manage populations of both Red and Roe DeerThese are present in good numbers on Fordie Estate.

Stalking is a fascinating way to experience Scotland’s beautiful landscape; experiencing mountains, glens and forests as you search for deer.  Deer stalking is an important part of land management on Fordie Estate and helps to maintain a strong, healthy population of this herbivore.

Depending on the time of year, the weather and your party’s requirements, deer stalking at Fordie can be a full day out on the hill, or dusk and dawn stalks which can involve stalking on foot and sitting in a high seat or doe box.

Visitor Firearm Permits can be arranged on your behalf by the estate at a cost of £35 plus VAT per licence.     Please allow a minimum 6 weeks prior to travel for the application to be granted.
